Yes. You can find more information about contactless payment here. Please note, that with contactless payment you can only buy adult priced (3,50€) single ticket.
How do I pay with card in the bus?
In the big buses the driver will help with contactless payment if needed.
In the smaller buses (usually on line 1, Citylinja) and few big buses there is a remote reader with a screen, in which the customer will make the zone choices for themselves.
Payment card has to be always put to the remote reader, when you get on the bus. The background system is checking the validity of the ticket and possible capping in the used card. If the ticket is valid when the card is put on the reader, there will not be any additional charges made.
Can I pay with cash?

How can I buy a ticket for my child in Waltti Mobile app?
In the Waltti Mobile app you can buy single and season tickets and 5h/24h-tickets. Single and 5h/24h tickets can be bought without registering/logging in, but to buy a season ticket, you have to either register to the app or log in.
If you want to buy a season ticket for your child, your child must have Waltti Mobile app in their own phone and they have to have their own account in Waltti. Season ticket is a product linked to a registered account, so a parent can’t buy a season ticket for their own phone and transfer it to the child’s phone.
In the app, you can pay with mobile payment (charge in the phone bill), MobilePay and with a payment card that has online payment option activated.
The easiest way to pay child’s ticket in the Waltti Mobile app is to insert childs or parents payment card information in the app. The card information has to be in the app during the buying process but as soon as the payment is ok and the ticket is shown in the app, the card information can be removed.
Parent can also buy a ticket to child travelling with them, but season tickets have to still be bought for the childs own phone.
Where can I get a travel card?
A personal travel card can be either ordered from Waltti webshop or bought from Pori customer service. A new travel card costs 7€.
Holder specific travel card can be bought only from Pori customer service.
What is the difference between personal and holder specific travel card?
A personal travel card can be bought, if identity is confirmed. The tickets loaded in the personal travel card can only be used by the person who owns the travel card. If the customer group in the travel card is either a child or young, customer has to be able to confirm their age if driver asks about that.
You can load tickets or ticket combinations (i.e. season ticket and value) for a personal travel card. Basic education act school trips and Kela student benefits need to be loaded only to personal travel cards.
A holder spesific travel card can be bought for private customer, organization or even a company. When selling a holder spesific card, there’s only a customer age group set, so there are no personal information in these cards.
Should I buy season ticket or value?
With season ticket there is a limitless traveling for 30 days. So if you use bus multiple times a week, we suggest the season ticket.
If you travel only occasionally with public transport, then you might want to consider loading value. With value the one time charge is 3,00€ from adults and young, 2,00€ from children.
With value, you can also pay a trip of someone travelling with you:
- Child is paying other child’s trip: two childs one time charges are made
- Young is paying childs or other youngs trip: two youngs one time charges are made
- Adult is paying childs/youngs/adults trip: two adults one time charges are made
There can be both season ticket and value in the same travel card. The reader in bus will firstly charge the season ticket. If you want to travel with value instead, ask advice from the driver before putting your travel card in the reader.
Can I see the season ticket validity or amount of value in my travel card?
In Waltti webshop you can check you travel cards information by logging in to your account.

What if I lose my travel card?
If you have lost your travel card, you can ask if it has been found from Pori customer service.
If your travel card was personal, you can go to customer service to shut down the lost card. Remember to take some identification with you. Transferring the information and tickets from the lost card to a new one will cost 7€ (new card)+ service fee according to the current price list.

Can more than one person use the same card?
A Waltti card can be purchased either as a personal card or a holder-specific card.
A personal card may only be used by the person whose personal details are linked to the card at the time of purchase. An exception to this is paying for your own journey using a season ticket on the travel card and paying for a companion’s journey using value on the card.
A holder-specific card, on the other hand, may be used by anyone who holds the card. For example, in a family with two adults and two children, it is possible to have one holder-specific card where the customer group has been defined as “adult” when loading value onto the card. Adults cannot travel using a child’s travel card, and the customer group set for a holder-specific card cannot be changed afterwards. For this reason, the customer group must be selected carefully at the time of loading.
The principles for charging value are explained above in the section: “Should I buy a season ticket or load value onto my travel card?”Can I pay for multiple passengers using contactless payment?
With contactless payment, you can only pay for your own journey.
A contactless payment method functions as the passenger’s personal ticket, which the system uses to verify the validity of the ticket product.
The fare capping feature linked to contactless payment starts counting the daily fare cap from the first validation of the day. The system identifies validations on a card-by-card basis, so contactless payment cannot be used to pay for multiple passengers’ journeys.
My child is travelling in a pram – can I ride for free?
Yes. In Pori public transport, a person travelling with a small child in a pram or stroller is entitled to a free journey.
Can I bring a dog on the bus?
All pets are allowed on the bus. The driver decides on a case-by-case basis whether pets can be taken on board. The driver may refuse to allow a pet if the bus is crowded and there is limited space. The owner is responsible for ensuring that the animal does not disturb other passengers.
A fare equal to an adult single ticket is charged for transporting a pet. This can be paid in cash, with a mobile single ticket, or using value stored on a travel card. Police dogs, guide dogs for the visually impaired, assistance dogs for persons with reduced mobility, and dogs in assistance dog training are always allowed on buses.
Pets must be placed in the bus in a way that causes as little inconvenience as possible to other passengers. Pets may not be placed on seats and must not be kept loose.
Can I bring a bicycle on the bus?
The driver decides whether bicycles, electric scooters, and other large items can be taken on the bus, depending on crowding. Luggage may be carried on your lap or placed on the floor. Seats are reserved for passengers only.
A fare equal to an adult single ticket is charged for bicycles, electric scooters, and large items of luggage. This can be paid in cash, with a mobile single ticket, or using value stored on a travel card. No charge is applied for prams or strollers used to transport a child.
