Children Under 8 Years Old

Children aged 0–7 travel free of charge on Pori public transport. One adult may be accompanied by up to two children aged 0–7 free of charge. This includes children in strollers or prams. For any additional children in this age group, a child single ticket must be purchased.

In addition, a person transporting a small child in a stroller or pram is entitled to travel free of charge.

Buying a Ticket for a Child

A child who has turned 8 years old must have their own valid ticket.

Child single ticket purchased with cash on the bus: 2.00€
Child single ticket purchased via Waltti Mobile app: 2.00€
Child season ticket (via Waltti Mobile or loaded on a Waltti travel card): 33€ / 30 days, 99€ / 90 days
Child single fare using value loaded on Waltti travel card: 2.00€

A child can also pay for their trip using contactless payment, but only adult-priced (3.50€) single tickets can be purchased this way.

Waltti Mobile App Ticket Options

You can buy single, time-based, and season tickets via the Waltti Mobile app. Single and time-based tickets can be bought without logging in, but a season ticket requires a registered Waltti account created specifically for the child.

Buying a Season Ticket for a Child Using the Waltti Mobile App

The child must have Waltti Mobile installed on their own phone and have their own Waltti account.
Season tickets are tied to the registered account, so a parent cannot buy a season ticket on their own account and then transfer it to the child’s phone. Payment methods in the app include: Mobile payment (added to phone bill), MobilePay, a payment card with online payment capabilities enabled

The easiest way to pay for a child’s ticket is by entering the child’s own or the parent’s payment card details into the app. Online payments must be enabled on the card. The card details must remain in the app until the purchase is complete and the ticket is visible. After that, you can remove the card details if the child only needs to use the ticket that has been purchased.

Buying a Ticket for an Accompanying Child

You can purchase multiple single or time-based tickets at once in the Waltti Mobile app. In the Purchase view, first select the ticket for yourself. Before choosing a payment method, you can add more tickets to the same purchase by tapping “Add a new ticket” and selecting the desired ticket type. Once the purchase is complete, the QR codes for both tickets must be scanned on the bus using the QR code reader.
